Daniel A Cornue

Mr. Daniel A. Cornue died in Alden, Dec. 19, 1883, of rheumatism of the heart, aged 64 years and 1 month.  After suffering intense pain for about 48 hours he passed away easily and peacefully.
He was born in Montgomery county, N.Y. November 18th, 1819.  When he was but twelve years old his parents moved to Steuben Co. N.Y.  He came to McHenry Co. in the spring of 1846, remaining till the fall of 1847, when he returned and Jan. 12th, 1848 married Miss Sarah Olmsted, of Steuben county N.Y.  They moved to this county and settled on a farm already owned by Mr. Cornue, upon which place he resided until his death.  He was well known and highly respected and has left a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.  He had been a member of the Linn and Hebron Presbyterian church for the past thirty years.
